I am a game designer, specializing in interaction design and player motivation. I am a teamplayer. 

To me, gameplay is the most important part of any game. Why does the player want to play this game? Why do they want to continue playing? How can I intrinsically motivate them? 

One way is to make sure that the actions the player needs to repeat are not only not cumbersome but feel good to do. Another way is to look at player types and what rewardsystems help them get motivated to keep playing and having fun.
